He was appointed back to the International Board as advisor to the Finance and Headquarters Committee, helping to establish the financial base that ensured the International Dues did not rise for several years after a phased increase was introduced in 2003.

He was the International President’s representative at the 2000 Europa Forum in Florence, a prestigious post awarded only to Lions of experience and expertise.

Lion Phil chaired the Host Committee and was President for the exceptionally successful 2006 Europa Forum in Bournemouth and was Vice-President of the Forums in 2005 and 2007.
