On the Friday afternoon before Convention it is traditional to hold a short Cabinet meeting to go over the final arrangements and to enable all Lions to meet the International guest, which this year is Past International Director Philip Daubeney of Jersey Club, who is a good friend of this District. District Governor Barry cordially invites all attendees present on Friday afternoon to attend this meeting, and if you so wish, to join with us at the Cabinet lunch beforehand. The menu and arrangements are attached and all meals must be pre-booked and be prepaid by 9th March, using the attached booking form. The cost of this meal is £14.50 each.

The North Walsham Funday 2012 is scheduled for 24 June 2012 – at Memorial Park, Yarmouth Road, North Walsham. Please contact Lion Elize for further information email: lionelize.northwalsham1@yahoo.co.uk
Date is Sunday, September 2nd 2012! Racecourse is booked - razz and auntie pearl are booked - Wendy and her circus boxed lunches are booked and finally, the hippodrome circus is booked! But everything has gone up since 2009, so we must adjust our costs to avoid an overall deficit to district. The cost this year will be £12 per person which includes everything (including half time ice creams) except transport to the event.
As always, we arrive at the racecourse at 1145 am for entertainment with razz, toiletries and the brilliant boxes by Wendy. We leave race course at 1345pm for circus which commences at 1430 pm. The circus extravaganza finishes at 1640 pm Where your transport will be lined up outside the circus.
Finally, statistically, six of the seven dwarves aren't happy, But everyone of our funday children are!!!! Please indicate whether your club will be participating this year as our goal is to fill the hippodrome with lions and their cubs!!!!!!

Dear All
My employer BT along with the Olympics organising committee have selected me to carry the Olympic torch in recognition of my 30 years service to the Lions Organisation. My slot is to be on Sunday 8th July somewhere between Cambridge & Luton - this will be confirmed nearer the time.
You will probably guess I am absolutely delighted that I and Lions Clubs International have been recognised. I'll keep you posted on the actual time and location when confirmed.
Yours in Lionism
